Finally watched RL Ep 2…

Wow, so boring. Maybe the sucky internet connection today had something to do with it.. but somehow I ended up astforwarding through about 70% of it.

My thoughts about the episode:

1 - THERE’S HARDLY ANY PLOT.

2 - The girl’s eyes won’t get better, big whoop. Maybe that calls for a cliched Kdrama ending where Leng Lie sacrifices his eyes so that Xiao Shu could see Mi Qi Lin… or something?

3 - So Mi Qi Lin can only cook fried rice well? Nothing else? Ahahahaha x 1000

4 - Why are there so many uninteresting & redundant characters in this drama? Aka the guy and girl that work at Mi Qi Lin’s store… among others.

Yeah.. that’s about it. This one TW drama that’s not based off a manga (it isn’t.. right?) is turning out to be one of the most boring dramas this century year. Props to the director for picking Danson & Jiro as the leads. Unfortunately it seems like not even the (half-)eyecandies can help this tragically boring drama gain its spotlight.

So I caved into the Coffee Prince craze.

Yeah.. it’s totally awesome!!

Han Kyul and Han Seong are so adorable, and Eun Chan is just cool.  Even Min Yeop seems oddly cute for some reason.  This drama is so …. refreshing.  Only on ep. 9 now, perhaps will finish the whole thing by next next week…

On another note, Fated to Love You episode 9 was … erm.. cliched, as usual.  And damn that kiss looked fake.  However, I am slowly coming to the realization that Dylan is actually quite hot :P  Ahh those puppy eyes.  Haha enough fangirling. Next week’s episode looks incredibly, uh, interesting (for the lack of a better word atm..) with Anna being back and all.  In the preview Cun Xi said (to a person in side a taxi) something like, “I’ll show you that you’re the only one I like.” And then he starts to run, looking as if he’s about to do something really stupid irrational.  Uh oh.  I hope it wasn’t Anna that was in the taxi.  Angstangstangst. Again, drama cliches abound.

Hmm I’m wondering why RL Ep2 is still not out yet.  Not that I want it to be out.  The less distractions the better :D

Sis found a rather interesting link (after hogging my computer for what seems like a century); shall post it here:

For those of you that don’t read Chinese… that’s good. Chances are, if you aren’t Chinese, you probably wouldn’t be too happy with what the article says about Korea. It’s nothing horrible, just that this country is less developed than how it appears in Korean dramas. Way less developed, according to whoever wrote the article.

Maybe the photographer was biased, dunno. In any case, interesting revelation :P

Don’t do recaps. Don’t ever plan on doing recaps. So don’t expect recaps =)

Hmm, what can I say… maybe the 16-min preview I watched for RL (yeah Rolling Love is the official English name.. not Go! Fried Rice as I thought..) kinda ruined the excitement of The First Episode.

Danson’s acting is very wooden there. Jiro’s… eh… not exceptional either. Oh well, at least they’re still considered eyecandies. The lead actress (w/e her name is) has a rather.. lol, creepy smile. Other than that, I think she’ll be pretty good on the most part.

Um.. the way Xiao Shu lost her eyesight is ridiculous beyond belief. Watching that segment made me wonder a) if the scriptwriter of this drama is retarded and b) how the frig did Leng Lie (is this how the phonetic goes for Danson’s character’s name?) get his driver’s license in the first place.

I foresee many cliche element of the typical cooking dramas coming (’make the cuisine with your heart’ & ‘food where one could taste happiness’ etc etc) And how much do you want to bet with me that Xiao Shu is going to regain her eyesight? And that there will be some serious cooking competition between Mi Qi Lin & Leng Lie? Yeah. Rolling Love is going to be one heck of an epically predictable drama. Much like FTLY (Btw, episode 8 was, surprisingly better than 7… and 9 just looks delicious :P)

Man, watching all the fried rice is making me hungry. *goes off to raid fridge*

Whoa, just deleted the 27 bullcrap posts I wrote in the past.. one and a half month. Man that felt good.

Aww I’m still in the post-TKA trauma mode. Okay.. not really trauma. But I do miss it. Yup this is what happens when you watch an airing drama. You’re growing with it, almost. Arjoe is so adorable! (Call me cheesy, I don’t care.)

Fated to Love You is seriously getting on my nerves. Seriously. Maybe I’ll just push it out of my drama list altogether and just see how Go! Fried Rice turns out. Speaking of which, GFR looks incredibly boring. If not for the fact that fried rice is my most favourite Chinese dish of all times, I’d not be giving it a second thought (and also the fact that Jiro & Danson are not too bad-looking, of course..)

Nah, I think I’ll still go on with FTLY… probably just will fast-forward 80% of it and watch for the romance scenes. Smart eh.  Oh oh and how could I forget to mention Last Friends?  It’s .. well, I had a lot of expectations for it since NR is in it (mad love) But god freakin’ damn.  His abusive boyfriend role just TOTALLY TURNS ME OFF.  TOTALLY.  Violent guys were never my cup of tea.  What happened to the sweet NR in 1 Litre of Tears??? =’(  Yeah, probably won’t go on with it.  Though I watched the first 4 episodes.

On another note, May is finally here! Victoria Day please come faster…!
